Honda Motor Co. said it will sell a super efficient car powered by gasoline and electricity in the U.S. late next year, becoming the first company to announce plans for such early U.S. sale of a hybrid. Honda plans to distribute the car throughout the U.S., breaking with the tradition of selling vehicles with alternative power sources only in limited areas, primarily California.
