Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said Haryana had acquired the number one position in the country with per capita investment of Rs 78,709, as per a survey conducted recently by the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy. This leap to the top is from 14th position some years ago. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the new building of the Services Club, built at a cost of Rs 70 lakh here, he said Haryana also stood first among the big states of the country and second after Goa in per capita income. Crediting this to the people of Haryana, he said the state was also the first in the production of wheat and milk in the country. He assured the people that during the Congress regime, Haryana would achieve the status of being a front-runner and number one in all spheres.
