The House committee on sale of forest banjar land in erstwhile Mahboobabad taluk of Warangal district directed the chief engineer, Sriram sagar project and the special collector, land acquisition to identify the officials responsible for the land scam and initiate disciplinary action against them. The Warangal district collector has been asked to launch prosecution against the persons guilty of illegal sale of forest land involving an extent of 2900 acres.The House Committee report, which was placed in the legislative assembly on Tuesday, detected many irregularities in the disposal of forest banjar land.
