Eluru, July 16: West Godavari collector, Ms G. Jayalakshmi, reviewed the progress of implementation of the third phase of the Indiramma housing scheme in the district here on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, she said that documentation was complete for 73,232 units during the Intinta Indiramma programme in the district and added that at Eluru division alone, documentation was completed for 24,133 units. She directed officials to carefully watch the digital photograph, ration card, land possession letter during verification of documentation and said that if any of the papers were missing, the application of sanction of a housing unit under the scheme could be rejected. She asked the mandal special officer to append his signature on the application after verification of documentation for sanction. The collector also directed medical and health officials to take measures to avoid the spread of diseases during rainy season. She asked them to collect water samples from protected drinking water schemes in the villages to ensure that potable water was supplied to villagers.
