The Norwegians are helping to green Jammu and Kashmir. The cost : Rs 12000 crores. The scheme envisages rehabilitation, development and scientific management of the forests in a time bound programme spanning over 20 years. Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed has already discussed this programme with the Norwegian ambassador in India Truls Hanevld who visited the troubled state in December last year.
