Hundreds evacuated after toxic scare in western Havana

Hundreds of Cubans were evacuated from their homes late on Tuesday after a warehouse accident sent a huge pall of toxic-smelling smoke over a densely populated zone of western Havana.The police and witnesses said some sort of an accident occurred at the warehouse, belonging to state tourism firm Cubanacan, around 8 pm, resulting in a fire and a leak of chlorine or ammonium chemicals.
