The state government is chalking out a policy wherein surplus power available from April to October will be adjusted to remove peak-hour power restrictions. Asserting that Himachal Pradesh was poised to be the nation's top state in power production the Himachal Power Minister, Ms Vidya Stokes, said a hydel policy would be framed soon to bring qualitative reforms in the existing system.
