The Gujarat government seems to be in no hurry to rid Ahmedabad of its embarrassing distinction of being among the heavily polluted cities in the country. Only that can explain the lack of seriousness in meeting the deadline of March 31 to implement pollution control measures prescribed by the supreme Court-appointed Bhurelal Committee.
