The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered senior officials of the district, including the Deputy Commissioner and the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Faridabad (MCF), to appear in court in person on March 8 in connection with a PIL filed by a local social activist regarding alleged illegal commercial activities in residential areas and unauthorised construction in Sectors 10 and 11 in Faridabad, Haryana. The Director, Town and Country Planning, Haryana, and the District Town Planner (Enforcement) have also been asked to be present in the court on March 8, the next date in this regard.
