Lackadaisical appraoch and negligence of forest officials in Udaigarh, Madhya Pradesh, have given a decent burial to government tree plantation programme and their efforts in improving the forest cover. This could be easily gauged from the fact that while the illegal tree felling is going unabated, forest department is watching it as mute spectator.
