When it comes to Taj Mahal, authorities don't seem to learn from past mistakes. The UP government has sought the Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) permission to iliminte the Taj Mahal so that it would serve as backdrop for the upcoming concluding ceremony of year long Taj Mahatsav from September 25 to 27. This despite the fact that a few years ago, illuminating the Taj for the Yanni concert was feared to have caused a lot of damage to the mausoleum.
