ILO project to eliminate child labour in AP

The International labour organisation (ILO) for the first time has selected five places in the country for its pilot project in Andhra Pradesh to eliminated child labour with an aid of Rs. 22 crore, according to MP Joseph, project director ILO, AP unit. The strategies included helping families to rehabilitate their child with supplementary income, prevent new children from entering work, creating awareness among a cross-section of the people, building organisational apparatus and training and special focus on girl child.
