IMD extends sunstroke, sunburn alert in Kerala

KOCHI: IMD has extended the sunstroke and sunburn alert in the state from April 2 to April 6. With this, the Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has re-issued the set of precautionary guidelines for people to follow to tackle the situation. On Wednesday, temperatures in Palakkad and Alappuzha districts are expected to soar by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius on an average. On the same day, the temperatures are expected to soar by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod.
