PNS | Shimla Himachal was better placed in Infant and Maternal Mortality Rate compared to national and international standards, Health Minister Rajiv Bindal told State Assembly here on Tuesday. He informed the House that the IMR of HP was 19 per thousand births as per the data collected under Integrated Child Development scheme while the Maternal Mortality Rate was quite low at 38.3 per one lakh births. These figures were very impressive as compared to national figures of 55 for IMR and 300 for MMR according to civil registration survey data.
