Though child labour is against the law and spirit of the Constitution and exploiting children for personal needs inhumane, it is increasing at an alarming pace in the North Eastern State of Tripura. According to highly placed official sources, there are more than 10,000 child workers in the capital city of Agartala itself where most child labours are engaged in motor works.
