India ranks amongst 50 water poor countries of the world.And even as the central Government goes gaga over its ambitious plan to interlink 37 rivers across the country,International Water Management Institute (IWMI), an international NGO with headquarters in Colombo, has cautioned to explore other avenues before jumping to a mega project.
