India and France have agreed to promote collaborative research in several areas of biotechnology, including silkworm genome. An agreement in this regard has been signed by the Minister of State for Science and Technology, Prof. Y.K. Alagh, and the French Minister of Education, Research and Technology, Prof. Claud Allegre.
