After a final meeting in Washington with the World Bank-ap pointed expert, it's clear that India will be able to construct the Baglihar hydroelectric dam on the Chenab with minor changes in its design. Though the final report by Swiss neutral expert Ray mond Lafitte is expected only in February, the indications are that the dam is here to stay. According to sources, changes in design that will be suggested are practical and can be implemented.
