India to seek review of TRIPS at WTO meet

India will press for a review of the Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) agreement in order to facilitate transfer of technology at fair and reasonably costs to developing countries at the third ministerial conference of the WTO to be held in Seattle later this year. For this, harmonisation of the objectives of the WTO agreement and the TRIPs agreements is called for, says paper on India's proposals on IPR issues prepared by the commerce ministry.
