US-based biotechnology major Human Genome Sciences Inc plans to set up the first protein manufacturing facility in India in collaboration with local players. Human Genome chairman and chief executive officer William A Haseltine, who was here to inaugurate Nicholas Piramal India Ltd's (NPIL) expanded clinical research facility, said: "We are not only looking for alliances in protein manufacturing units in India, we are also open to both inlicensing and outlicensing of products.
