Indri to become sub-division

Hooda promises to allocate Rs.10 lakh each for all the villages in the region Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday announced upgradation of Indri tehsil as a sub-division and promised to allocate Rs.10 lakh each for all the 164 villages in the region. The announcements were made at a "thanksgiving rally' in Indri, 150 km from Delhi. The rally was organised by Congress workers as a gesture of gratitude to the electorate of Indri constituency who voted for the party's candidate Bhim Sain Mehta in the Haryana Assembly by-election on May 22. A benchmark Emphasizing the importance of Mr. Mehta's victory in the key by-election, Mr. Hooda said: "This election will be a benchmark in the political history of Haryana .
