More than 350 phase out projects in various sectors using Ozone Depleting Subtances (ODS) are in different stages of progress in India, and Gujarat may bear the brunt in the services sector by not being directly involved with the manufacturing process. Textiles and garments industry and those which use Carbon Tetrachloride (CTC) as a cleaning agent are still not aware that its production will be phased out by almost 85% by end of this year.
