In a first of its kind programme in the country, International Labour Organisation in association with the Andhra Pradesh state government, is test running a project to abolish child labour in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh has the dubious distinction of housing 14.7 percent of 1.35 crore child labour in the country.
