International Forest Products Ltd. announced plans on Wednesday to restructure its woodland operations in coastal British Columbia, shutting a mill and cutting about 500 jobs. Interfor said it had "no choice" but to reduce operations after British Columbia's decision this month to curtail logging on the Central Coast - an area called "The Great Bear Rainforest" by international environmentalists.
