A Spanish research centre will be testing new ways of separating, recovering and recycling components within electrical and electronic equipment as part of an international electronics recycling programme. The Basque research centre Gaiker is taking part in the multinational project funded by the European Union Competitive and Sustainable Growth Project. The centre will help develop technology to separate and recover electronic components that could be re-used or recycled, such as those found in circuit boards in TVs, telephones and computers.
