Even as tension prevailed in the Runikhata area in Kokrajhar district in Assam after killing of 10 persons in Lungs-hung forest on June 3 last, a team of mediapersons from Kokrajhar visited the spot to know the actual fact. To its utter surprise it was found that more than 400 timber logs were lying on the bank of river Bhur. According to the local people more such logs are inside the dense forest of Lungshung Forest reserve. They also claimed that timber mafia's are involved in smuggling out of the valuable timber. They also claimed that the incident in no way connected with any communal ethnic cleansing.
