The Central Governemnt willing, Cochin International Airport will probably be the first in the world to have a waterway link up to its backyard. The Irrigation Department has submitted its 'Seaport-Airport waterway scheme' to the Kerala government for incorporation of the project into the centrally aided National Waterways Development Programme.
