In a matter of years, Bhatti Mines once a vegetation-rich area spread over 2,200 acres resembled a desert. Greenery may be back again for the over-exploited area with the Army's Eco Task Force planting trees here. Striving to achieve this is a 150-strong Eco Task Force fifth battalion which has been stationed here since April. At four in the morning, when the first light hits the horizon these 150 men start their task of planting saplings.
