A high-level delegation led by the Italian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Mr Pietro Lunardi, met the Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad. The delegation evinced a keen interest in sharing Italian know-how in waste disposal, urban transport, construction activities and water supply. Mr Azad expressed satisfaction over the progress made in bilateral relations in trade, culture, science and technology and emphasised the need to work together in other untapped areas. He added that the rapid economic growth in India had opened up innumerable investment opportunities for Italian businessmen.
