The number of South Korean fishing boats operating in the sea off Japan has increased sharply in the past couple of years. Marine resources in the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and other parts of the sea off Japan are rapidly drying up. But no serious efforts are made to preserve and protect the resources around Japan. (editorial)
