The AIADMK general secretary, Ms. Jayalatitha, today urged the Prime Minister, Mr. A. B. Vajpayee, to "intervene and take suitable steps to ameliorate the suffering of the Tamil Nadu farmers" by securing the due share of the Cauvery waters to the State.
