Joint foret management brings hope for threatened species

The concept of joint forest management, which calls for active participation and involvement of local people for regeneration, maintenance and protection of degraded forest and plantation, has ushered in a new hope for protection of Kakoijana reserve forest which is one of the highly threatened habitats of golden langur in the north-east.
