An exhausted little kakapo has cracked out of its egg with a little human help in New Zealand, fuelling hopes for the endangered species' survival. "It was moving around the egg and squeaking and carrying on, but wasn't strong enough to get out. It's weary now, but I think it just needs a rest and a feed," Department of Conservation spokesman Paul Jansen said on Monday.
