The Telegu Desam Party President, N. Chandrababu Naidu, launched a blistering attack on the AICC chief Sonia Gandhi for her alleged neglect of the drought situation in Andhra Pradesh while championing the cause of Congress ruled States for Greater assistance. Mr. Naidu criticised State Congress leaders for their failure to prevail upon Ms Gandhi to ask Karnataka to stop construction of dams illegally causing immense loss to agriculture and power sectors in Andhra Pradesh.
