SC tells govt to keep off survey: Investigation into the forest encroachment scam in Chikmagalur district has taken a fresh turn with the Supreme Court restraining the state government from interfering with survey work. The SC passed the orders on May 8 after it came across instances where Forest Minister D. Manjunath's orders had reportedly hindered the smooth progress of the ongoing survey work.
