Emphasising the need for a 'proper policy framework' to guide people's participation in forest conservation and management programmes, the convenor of an action committee formed to lauch a campaign for participatory forest management in Karnataka, Mr M K Bhat, has said that a State-level convention would be held in the month of December to collate material collected as part of the various consultative sessions organised throughout the State.
