Expressing concern over encroachments on forest and illegal felling of trees, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that these had been checked to some extent but still much more efforts were needed in this direction. He said that cases put up before the courts should be foolproof as a number of cases had failed because of improper presentation and lack of evidence. He called for an introspection as to where the system had gone awry.
