THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Fisheries Minister S. Sarma said here on Wednesday that the proposed Indo-ASEAN free trade agreement would hit the fisheries sector in the State. In an article released for publication, the Minister said that 117 fish products were understood to have found place in the import list from South East Asian Countries. This included marine fishes, inland fishes and fish products. Almost all the fish varieties listed were those traditionally harvested in Kerala. It was not yet clear whether any of those would be included in the negative list as sought by fishermen.
