The Union minister of tribal afairs, Mr Jual Oram, has said Central probes will be ordered into atrocities against tribals in Kerala and an explanation sought from the state for non-utilisation of alloted funds. Much to the embarassment of the Left Front government, the minister, now on a visit to the state, has repeatedly underlined the state's failure to protect and ensure the well-being of tribals.
