The Kerala State Government's decision not to withdraw concessional tariff on forest produce supplied to Grasim industries has put the Kerala Forest Development Corporation in a fix with the latter finding it difficult to decide on a proposal to withdraw concession with immediate effect. The question of withdrawing the concessional tariff on eucalyptus supplied to Grasim Industries came up before the Cabinet following the Supreme Court order in T N Godavarma Thirumulpadu vs Union of India case, in January 1998.
