KT NEWS SERVICE JAMMU, Dec 7: State Resource Centre (SRC), University of Kashmir conducted a series of programmes about Total Literacy Campaign (TLC) and Post Literacy Programme (PLP) in different districts of Jammu province. The centre also conducted public awareness literacy rally at Surankote, Poonch in which about 500 to 600 volunteers, teachers, students and other field functionaries participated. Director SRC, KU Prof GM Malik, officer media and research SRC M Yousuf Lessu, officer media and research SRC Manzoor A Mir, and section officer SRC M Akram monitored the progress of the programmes of TLC and PLP projects at Poonch, Rajouri and Jammu to evaluate and assess their weakness and strengths. The main objective of the programme was to sensitize the participants regarding population growth, health and hygiene, mother child care, HIV AIDS and general development and total literacy campaign.
