New Delhi: Once a part of the Bhalswa landfill site in northwest Delhi near Rohini, over 20 acres of land close to the Mukarba Chowk will soon turn into a lush green patch. Public Works Department (PWD) officials said that the ongoing work would take six months to complete. The landscaping project, estimated to cost Rs 4.76 crore, was initiated after the completion of the Mukarba Chowk grade separator early this year. Officials said that the Municipal Corporation Delhi (MCD), which owns the Bhalswa landfill site, had stopped dumping garbage at the site sometime back.
