Large forest areas, mainly withered grass weeds, were destroyed in a fire which broke out at the Attur and Anecad sections, Karnataka on Wednesday evening. According to reports, a spotted deer died as it came in contact with a solar wire fencing at the Attur section, when it tried to rush out of the forests on Thursday.
