The Klity lead mine which releases toxic waste water into Thung Yai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary must be closed, declare the Thai Karens in Western Thailand Group. The group - a network of mostly forest-dwelling ethnic Karens in western Thailand - said they will mobilise support from environmental groups and Karens in other parts of the country in order to get the Klity mine closed.
