Only unleaded petrol will be sold in Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta after March 1999 and use of leaded petrol would be phased out, Petroleum Minister Vazhapadi Ramamurthy said in Chennai on Tuesday. He said in Delhi sale of unleaded petrol has been made mandatory and this would be expanded to other three metros as well.
