The leatherback (marine turtles) nesting season begins this March, and it will continue until May. The Caribbean Conservation Corporation (CCC) is presently organizing different ecological groups with the objective of participating in the protection of these species at the time that they arrive to spawn in the beaches of Tortuguero.
