BHUBANESWAR: Former Congress MLA Umesh Swain on Monday said that the proposed Posco steel plant should be shifted from the present location to a place south of Jatadhari mouth as displacement will be minimum in this case. Addressing mediapersons here, Swain said that the BJD managers who are organising a rally at Jagatsinghpur on September 18 in support of the proposed plant should persuade the company to agree to shift the location. The former MLA said that the BJD should work for protecting the interests of common people instead of the industries.
