Bikaner district has bagged the prestigious "Satyen Maitrey" award for 2002 for making significant achievements on the literacy front. The Vice President, Bhairon Singh Shekawat will give away the award at a function to be organised at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on September 8, marking World Literacy Day.
