The meeting of the Chief Secretaries of the basin States convened by the Union Cabinet Secretary, Mr Prabhat Kumar, here today to discuss the draft scheme for implementation of the interim award of the Cauvery water Disputes Tribunal, appeared to have made little headway, with each State sticking to its known stand.The meeting was preparatory to a meeting of the Chief Ministers convened by the Prime Minister here on August 6.
