Bangalore Mahanagara Palike will take up the improvement of living conditions in 169 slums in the City as part of Sub Mission II of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. The Mission is aimed at providing basic services to the urban poor and the BMP is ready with a Rs 1,083.90 crore plan on slums. All the slums chosen for the project are learnt to be undeclared slums.
